Vernie Yeung

Vernie Yeung was born in Hong Kong and educated in England and from a young age he was hugely inspired by the art surrounding him. His early fascination with light and shadow evolved into a unique perception of beauty, which he subsequently incorporated into his work as a successful television commercial director.

When Vernie was still completing his Masters degree, his work was featured on Radiohead.tv and was spotted for his art sense and filmmaking instincts. This resulted in him being signed by Blackdog Productions and at only 24 years old he was one of the youngest Directors to be signed under Ridley Scott Associates (RSA).

During his career Vernie has directed various television commercials for some of the biggest brands (Cathay Pacific, Samsung, Nike, Sony, Canon, MGM, Diesel, L’Oreal) and directed music videos for artists such as Kylie Minogue, Faultline, Eason Chan, Andy Lau, Edison Chen, Josie Ho to name a few.

As well as short films he was also credited as co-director for one of the biggest films in China in 2016 called League of Gods starring Jet Li, Tony Leung and Fan Bing Bing.
